his college is the second '' aged '' son of the Passionist Education Network. It was born from the educational vocation of the Passionist Sisters who worked in the São Vicente de Paula Asylum 13 years ago, in the social promotion of the elderly and in the caring care of their lives.
In 1928 was acquired the area where the College and the Provincial Headquarters are currently. In it was a little house, a small orchard and a vegetable garden that at first was very useful for maintenance since that very difficult time. Little by little the educational dream was growing in the heart of the Sisters and they were looking at the new terrain with the purpose of realizing there the dream of a school.
It was only in 1939, after enlarging the small house that there was in the place with the construction of 3 classrooms, that the educational activities of the new school began.
The Virgin Mary, under the title of Our Lady Girl, was chosen as the patroness of the school and her beautiful image was placed in the Chapel, the heart of the school, and from there would proclaim to all generations the model of Christian and would be present in all walk of the Externato Passionist Nossa Senhora Menina, first name that received. Over the years, it was renamed Educandário Nossa Senhora Menina.
In 1965, with the opening of the junior high school, it was renamed Gymnasium Nossa Senhora Menina, and in 1969, with the opening of the Normal course, Nossa Senhora Menina College, which still holds the name of Nossa Senhora Menina School.
This school has always pursued its activities within a philosophy centered on the student who is his or her end and who continues to this day.
Currently Passionist College Passionist Nossa Senhora Menina presents an enviable structure for an educational institution. The orchard and the orchard no longer exist, but there are leafy trees that in the spring color the environment; there is no longer a large vegetable garden, replaced by huge blocks and sports gymnasium; but there is a small garden where small ones are initiated in the respect and preservation of nature.
The broad aspect of its courtyards, where respectfully the buildings that define the physical structure of the school are present, is a harmonious coexistence of natural factors and human work.
There are 29 classrooms and rooms for special services: Board, Secretariat, Treasury, Library, Pedagogical Coordination Service, Religious, Educational and Health Care, Reprographics, Teaching Material, Toys, Informatics, Science, Mathematics Laboratories , Robotics; special rooms for music, arts, pedagogic kitchen, ballet and karate.
For the practice of sports, indispensable for a process of integral education there is the Gymnasium of Sports and the polo sports court in a more open environment. To the delight of the little ones there is a playground equipped with children's appliances.
In the background, the '' Forest Sr. Antonieta Farani '' an area that is a natural temple represents not only a beautiful space for contact with nature for prayers and other reflection activities, but also a 'green space' for research where flocks of bird species make their nests or visit it assiduously.
Its covered patios are very large and perfectly meet the needs especially in winter when the cold reaches Curitiba inexorably.
Thus, we can affirm that through the years the Passionist Sisters have been able to accompany not only the material needs, adapting the school to the present demands. They have also been able to follow the pedagogical evolution by investing in the training of their educators and students so that today their methodology meets the current demands by preparing people to interact in the information society and not to be manipulated by it.
It currently has 500 students, 50 educators.
Passionist College Nossa Senhora Menina maintains the following levels of teaching:
Infant Education - Maternal I and II, Pre I, Pre II and Pre III

In this way the Passionist College Nossa Senhora Menina prepares the child from the earliest age until his entrance to the University.
